After completeing MD Pediatrics and with 2 years in Pediatric Nephrology from Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai in 1995, went to United Kingdom in 1996.
Post MRCP in 1997, worked in Pediatric Nephrology in various
centres of excellence in UK.
In 1998, was in University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff as the Specialist Registrar
in Pediatric Nephrology. In 1999, moved to Birmingham Childrens Hospital, Birmingham
as the specialist/Senior Registrar in Pediatric Nephrology.
In 2000, was in Guys Hospital, London as the senior Registrar in Pediatric Nephrology.
Finally from 2001 to 2005 was appointed as the CONSULTANT
IN PEDIATRIC NEPHROLOGY at SOUTHAMPTON GENERAL HOSPITAL, SOUTHAMPTON.
Returned to Mumbai after spending nearly 10 years in UK and have been a Pediatric
Nephrology Consultant from July 2005

Clinical experience:
In about 10 years that were spent in UK, including the last 5 as Consultant
Pediatric Nephrologist, there was vast experience gained in all the aspects
of Pediatric Nephrology.
• Management of acute renal/kidney failure including dialysis (peritoneal/haemodialysis)
• Management of chronic (long term, irreversible) kidney failure
• Dialysis (Peritoneal/Haemodialysis) in chronic renal failure children
• Preparation of a child with chronic renal failure for renal transplantation
• Management of the renal transplant (pre, during and after the surgery)
• Management of acute glomerular problems like nephrotic syndrome, HUS
etc
• Management of nephritis, haematuria (blood in the urine)
• Management of tubular disorders of the kidney like Renal Tubular Acidosis,
Bartters Syndrome etc
• Management of Urinary Tract Infections and the complications
• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure in children)
• Management of renal dysplasia (abnormally formed kidneys)
• Management of conditions with cysts in the kidneys (Polycystic kidney
disease, Multicystic kidney disease etc)
