Consultant Nephrologist

Dr Jayaram is a Consultant Nephrologist with the Kidney Speciality Group. She graduated from Seth G.S. Medical College, KEM Hospital with an M.B.,B.S degree and subsequently went to the U.S.A to pursue higher education. She trained at Presbyterian Medical College / University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center / University of Illinois Chicago and obtained an M.D. in Internal Medicine. She was selected for a Fellowship (Super Specialization) in the field of Nephrology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; Boston affiliated with Harvard Medical School. During her training in Nephrology, she has seen and managed a wide variety of problems in the field of kidney disease and has also been actively involved in the field of Research. She has been fortunate to learn under the guidance of very renowned professors in the field of Nephrology at Harvard.

She has passed the certifying exams and is Board Certified in the field of Medicine and Nephrology (American Board of Internal Medicine and Nephrology). She worked with a Nephrology private practice group, covering four major hospitals in Arizona , US before moving back to India.

In her years of practice so far both in the USA and in Mumbai, Dr Jayaram has seen and treated a large number of patients with varied caused of kidney diseases Acute Renal Failure, Chronic Kidney Disease, Severe Hypertension, Electrolyte and acid base disturbances, Nephrotic Syndrome, Polycystic kidney disease, Kidney Stones, Urinary tract Infections, Glomerulonephritis, End stage Kidney disease patients on Dialysis, patients with a kidney transplant etc.

She has also participated in many health camps and has conducted many seminars on kidney diseases both for physicians and the general public.
